Thousands of Shacman trucks will be sent for rework

2116 vehicles are subject to recall, the reason is non-compliance with technical regulations

Shacman Motors is launching a recall of 2,116 Shacman SX3258 trucks due to non-compliance with technical regulations. The campaign is coordinated with Rosstandart and affects both sold and unregistered vehicles.

The recall includes 1,996 trucks that are with dealers without registration, as well as 120 vehicles sold from June to November 2022. On new vehicles, it is necessary to retrofit the air filter mounts, install protective caps on the bolts and replace the reinforced tailgate locks with standard ones.

A wider range of works is provided for already sold vehicles. It is required to check the condition of the pneumatic system mufflers and vibration and noise isolation, and, if necessary, fasten or replace the elements. Additionally, it is necessary to replace the side protection device and the rear protection bolts, followed by checking the correctness of the installation.

All work will be carried out free of charge at official dealerships. Car owners will be notified by Shacman Motors.

The manufacturer also announced the introduction of additional control measures to avoid such non-compliance with the requirements of the technical regulations of the Customs Union in the future.
