The State Duma has proposed introducing a tax deduction for car repairs for working pensioners. The initiative was put forward by deputies Anton Tkachov and Vladislav Davankov.
According to the proposal, pensioners will be able to partially compensate for the cost of repairing one car. This will require confirming the expenses with documents from the car service. Payments are planned to be limited to an annual limit.
The authors of the initiative note that for many elderly people, a car remains a necessity — especially in small towns and rural areas, where it is difficult to get to clinics, shops and other social facilities without it.
At the same time, car repairs can cost significant amounts, which makes such support particularly relevant.
According to the deputies' idea, the new deduction should supplement the existing system of tax benefits and partially reduce the burden on pensioners.
