Pininfarina unveils the new NSX Tensei

The restomod received a naturally aspirated V6 and a manual transmission

Pininfarina and JAS Motorsport have revealed details of the NSX Tensei restomod, presented at Milano Design Week 2026. The project received revised proportions: an increased wheelbase, a wider track, a lower stance, and a shortened rear overhang. At the same time, key elements of the original Honda NSX have been preserved, including the pop-up headlights and the integrated spoiler.

The design features widened rear fenders and distinctive shapes that reference classic Pininfarina models, including the Ferrari 288 GTO.

Technically, the car remains faithful to the classics. It is equipped with a naturally aspirated V6 based on the original architecture and a six-speed manual transmission. Electrification and turbocharging are not planned.

The interior has been reworked while preserving the original ergonomics. The manufacturer claims improved material quality and new control elements, although details have not yet been disclosed.

The project is also linked to the history of cooperation between Pininfarina and Honda, which began with the 1984 HP-X concept that foreshadowed the NSX.

Production will be organized in Italy. Assembly will take place at JAS Motorsport facilities, while customization will be handled at the Pininfarina atelier. The full premiere and details of the production run are expected in 2026.
