The Toyota bZ Woodland posted a 0-100 km/h time on par with the Toyota GR Supra — both models reached 3.9 seconds in independent tests. The electric SUV also completed the quarter-mile in 12.5 seconds.
The bZ Woodland is equipped with two electric motors and all-wheel drive. Output is 375 hp, while torque is 396 Nm. A 74.7 kWh battery provides a range of up to 281 miles, or 260 miles with off-road tires.
Fast charging at up to 150 kW allows the battery to be charged from 10 to 80% in 30 minutes. A full charge from a home power supply takes about 7 hours. Pricing starts at $45,300.
For comparison, the Supra with a six-cylinder engine producing 382 hp costs about $60,000 and remains a two-seat sports car.
The growing performance of electric vehicles is explained by instant torque delivery and all-wheel drive. However, in the family SUV segment, range and practicality remain the key priorities rather than maximum acceleration.
