LEGO is preparing to release a new flagship of the Technic series — the Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear hypercar model. The set numbered 42232 will be one of the largest and most expensive automotive projects of the company in recent years. According to preliminary data, the constructor includes 4104 parts and will go on sale on July 1, 2026, at a price of about 450 dollars (about 33 thousand rubles).

The choice of model seems unusual. Unlike previous Technic flagships dedicated to Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, and McLaren, this time LEGO turned to a significantly less mass-market brand. The Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear itself is an extreme track version of the Jesko hypercar and is produced in a limited edition.

Judging by the published images and leaks, the new product will retain the traditional 1:8 scale for the series. It was in this format that LEGO Technic Bugatti Chiron, Lamborghini Sián, Ferrari Daytona SP3, and McLaren P1 were previously released. Thanks to more than four thousand parts, the model promises to have a complex transmission, independent suspension, working steering, and detailed aerodynamics.

The first photos have already sparked active discussion among LEGO fans. The most attention was drawn to the decision to use printed elements for the headlights instead of a fully assembled structure, which is considered a controversial step for models of this scale.
