Geely Auto Europe has officially confirmed the entry of the new compact electric vehicle Geely E2 into the European market. Under this name, the Galaxy Xingyuan model will be sold in EU countries, which has remained the most popular car in the Chinese electric vehicle market for the past year and a half.
According to China EV DataTracker, from January to May 2026, Xingyuan sales reached 160,800 vehicles. Even earlier, the model became China's best-selling car in 2025, strengthening Geely's position in one of the largest market segments.
In Europe, the novelty is positioned as a compact electric hatchback for everyday use. The company states that the model will offer buyers "a spacious interior, high level of safety, and good dynamic characteristics," but the technical specifications of the European version have not yet been officially disclosed.
The dimensions of the Geely E2 are 4135×1805×1580 mm, and the wheelbase reaches 2650 mm. Despite its compact dimensions, the car received a trunk volume of 375 liters and an additional front luggage compartment (frunk) of 70 liters.
The interior is made in a modern minimalist style. The central place is occupied by a 14.6-inch multimedia display, and the exterior features a closed front body part and teardrop-shaped LED headlights.
In its home market, the Xingyuan is equipped with a single 114 hp electric motor installed on the rear axle. It works with a 39.4 kWh battery, which provides a range of up to 317 km according to the WLTP cycle. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 10.2 seconds.
It is expected that detailed specifications of the European version will be published closer to the start of sales. For the UK market, the car will be released under a different name – Geely EX2. Sales there are scheduled to start in late August 2026.
