Hyundai has unveiled the color palette of the new Ioniq V (Ioniq Venus) electric liftback, simultaneously confirming its commitment to creating models exclusively for Chinese buyers. The car will be one of the brand's first models to abandon the familiar corporate styling with pixelated lighting in favor of a more futuristic design developed by a local design team.
The novelty was first shown at the Beijing Auto Show 2026, and now the manufacturer has presented eight body paint options. These include Cyber Gold, Dimensional Purple, Gamma Green, Magnetic Grey, Photon White (in glossy and matte finishes), Streamer Silver, and Night Blade Black.
The Ioniq V is built on the E-GMP platform, which is already used in other modern Hyundai electric vehicles. The model's dimensions are 4900×1890×1470 mm, and the wheelbase reaches 2900 mm. The car features a sloping roofline, frameless doors, and original LED optics, noticeably different from the global Ioniq family models.
The powertrain is based on an 800-volt electrical architecture, providing high charging speed. According to certification data, the car is equipped with a 66.8 kWh CATL battery, which provides a range of up to 620 km according to the CLTC cycle. The manufacturer also confirmed that the model will be available in both a fully electric version and with an extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) powertrain, which meets the preferences of Chinese buyers.

The interior was also created with the specifics of the local market in mind. The central element of the cabin is a 27-inch ultra-thin 4K display, complemented by a new generation head-up display. The multimedia system is powered by the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon platform, and the electronic assistant complex is built on software from Momenta, one of China's leading developers of driver assistance systems.
The launch of the Ioniq V should help Hyundai strengthen its position in one of the most competitive segments of the Chinese market, where buyers are increasingly opting for high-tech electric vehicles from local manufacturers.
