Tesla has started integrating Grok Bot into its cars. Now, the AI assistant can not only answer questions, plot routes, or control individual car functions, but also perform external tasks through connected services.

For example, a driver can ask Grok to order coffee, make an online purchase, check email, or add an appointment to the calendar. Connectors—integrations with Gmail, Google Calendar, and other applications—are used to access third-party services.

An illustrative scenario has already been demonstrated by early users: while the FSD system was plotting a route, Grok received a command to order coffee. The AI selected the desired item, confirmed the cost, placed the order, and directed the car to the pickup location.

However, this technology is not yet available to everyone. Initially, Grok Bot was rolled out to SuperGrok Heavy subscribers, and Tesla promises to expand access to other plans. Grok itself can already control a number of car functions, including climate, navigation, and phone calls.

The main change is the transition from a voice assistant to an AI agent that not only provides information but also performs a sequence of actions on behalf of the owner.
