Subaru finished September 2026 with a 13.2% sales increase in the US. The company sold 52,056 vehicles during the month, with Forester being the main driver of growth. The crossover's sales reached 15,989 units — 45.9% more than in September 2025. This is Forester's best September result in the model's history. Over the nine months of the year, 156,476 vehicles were sold, which is 17.6% more than last year's figure.

Forester was Subaru's best-selling model in September, surpassing Crosstrek with 15,296 vehicles and Outback with 12,651 units. At the same time, Crosstrek gained 6.8%, and Outback — 1.9%.
A separate factor is the hybrid version of the Forester. According to Subaru, at the beginning of the year, it accounted for about 30% of the model's sales in the US, and recently this figure has reached approximately 50%. This shows that the hybrid modification has become a significant part of the demand for the crossover.
However, it is too early to talk about a full recovery for Subaru. From January to September, the brand sold 475,878 vehicles, 1.5% less than a year earlier. Therefore, the current growth is primarily driven by individual models, among which Forester plays a key role.
