The electric crossover Mazda CX-6e has received an External Announcement system with an external speaker. It allows the driver to transmit voice messages to pedestrians, cyclists, and other motorists without opening the window.

The system's memory contains pre-recorded phrases. For example, the car can warn a pedestrian looking at their smartphone or tell another driver that they can go first. The system also allows the driver's voice to be transmitted through the external speaker.

The most unusual feature was discovered during the testing of the CX-6e in Australia. Through the in-cabin screen, you can type your own phrase, save it, and play it outside. Journalists found that the system practically does not limit the content of such messages and is capable of vocalizing expletives.

The function appeared as a means of external notification, which is especially relevant for an electric vehicle with a low noise level at low speeds. The CX-6e is produced in China as part of the cooperation between Mazda and Changan.
