Tesla has unveiled the Cybercab in Europe for the first time: a two-seater electric robotaxi without a steering wheel or pedals was exhibited at the Paris Motor Show, which runs from October 12 to 18, 2026. The unit was delivered from Austin, Texas, where the company already offers paid rides in such vehicles.

The Cybercab was originally designed for autonomous transportation. The interior features two passenger seats, and conventional controls are absent. Therefore, launching the model in Europe will require separate approval from regulators: current certification rules include requirements for vehicle design, including controls.
Tesla previously suggested the Cybercab could appear in Europe in 2027, but there is no confirmed market release date yet. Approval of Tesla's driver assistance systems in individual European countries does not automatically mean permission to operate driverless robotaxis: in regular cars, a person can intervene in control, but in the Cybercab, such an option is not provided for passengers.
The Tesla stand in Paris also features Model 3 and Model Y electric vehicles, home energy solutions, and the Optimus Gen 2 humanoid robot. Visitors are offered rides in Tesla vehicles with a human-supervised driver assistance system.
