Lada Vesta "Start/Stop" Button: AvtoVAZ Temporarily Solved the Problem

Requires an active key that remains functional for 45 seconds

AvtoVAZ promptly responded to complaints from Lada Vesta owners regarding the incorrect operation of the "Start/Stop" engine start button. Users on social networks noted that the system was unstable, causing inconvenience. The company confirmed the problem and offered a temporary solution while a final fix is being developed.

To successfully start the engine using the "Start/Stop" button, an active key is required, which remains functional for 45 seconds after unlocking the car. If the engine is not started within this time, you must press the unlock button on the key again. AvtoVAZ clarifies that the key slot in the cabin is not intended for starting, and the key must be located in the front of the cabin.

Previously, AvtoVAZ sent an information letter to dealers with recommendations to explain the system's features to owners. The company emphasized that the problem is constructive but does not affect the safety of the car's operation.

AvtoVAZ promises to present an updated solution in the near future.
