After announcing the start of mass production of Lada Iskra on April 19, the pace of production of the new model remains extremely modest. According to the Avtograd public page, if several cars used to roll off the assembly line per day, now there have been none in the past week.
This is disappointing against the backdrop of official statements and loud promises. The reason is simple — a shortage of components. Suppliers are not coping with the volumes, which forces AvtoVAZ to temporarily limit assembly.
Accelerating production this week is also in question. Thus, Lada Iskra currently remains a "paper flagship," whose mass appearance on the roads is again postponed.
Lada Iskra is available in three body styles: sedan, station wagon, and cross-station wagon. The car is equipped with 1.6-liter engines with a capacity of 90 and 106 hp. Gearboxes — 5-speed manual VAZ, 6-speed manual Chinese, and CVT. Prices range from 1.2 to 1.6 million rubles.
Earlier, motoram.ru reported that VAZ-2110 1999 without mileage is being sold in Russia.
