At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, AvtoVAZ presented a sports modification of the new model — Lada Iskra Sport.
The car stands out not only with its black body color and branded wheels, but also with a serious technical upgrade: under the hood, there is a boosted 1.8-liter naturally aspirated engine, developing 173 hp.
The modification received a reinforced body frame and a rigid frame in the rear — a typical solution for racing prototypes. The interior features two bucket seats with pronounced lateral support. The sporty look is complemented by white Rostec logos and a large number 2 on the roof and windshield.
It is worth adding that the serial Lada Iskra has not yet gone on sale — the start is scheduled for July 20, on the birthday of AvtoVAZ.
The lineup will include a sedan, a station wagon, and a cross-version, which will occupy an intermediate position between Granta and Vesta.
Production has already been launched in Togliatti since April this year, but it is intermittent. Last week, not a single car was assembled in five days.
