AvtoVAZ and its dealers are facing a glut of cars: according to industry sources, about 100,000 unsold Lada cars have accumulated in warehouses and parking lots.
The main volume of stocks falls on the 2024 models, as well as on the budget Xcite. The reason was a significant decrease in demand for new cars, which is why transport is idle both at enterprises and at dealers.
According to AvtoVAZ's internal regulations, dealers are required to buy cars within 90 days. However, in practice, this period has long been exceeded: for example, in the Samara region, car dealerships store inventory balances for 3-4 months. This increases the costs of market participants and creates pressure on liquidity.
The dealer network hopes for a revision of the pricing policy. It is expected that the company will allow setting different prices for cars of 2024 and 2025, in order to speed up the sale of old batches.
However, no official decisions have been made yet, and surpluses continue to accumulate.
