AvtoVAZ has begun final preparations for the assembly of Lada Iskra at the plant in St. Petersburg. From July 9 to 11, 2025, three sedans will be assembled in test mode, after which production will switch to producing 1-2 cars daily.
In July, the production of 16 sedans and 17 station wagons is planned. Bodies and components are supplied from the plant in Togliatti, which requires synchronization of logistics.
In the coming months, the volume of component supplies will increase, which will allow increasing production. However, plans depend on the ability of suppliers to provide both plants with a sufficient number of parts. The current market situation remains difficult: demand for cars is limited, which may affect the achievement of production goals.
Lada Iskra, which is positioned as a compact model for the mass segment, should go on sale on July 20.
