AvtoVAZ plans to expand the sales geography of the Lada Niva Travel SUV, including not only the domestic market, but also foreign countries, said Oleg Grunenkov, Director of Product Programs and Projects of the company.
According to him, specific export markets will be announced later - after the model is released and mass production is launched. The level of localization of the restyled Niva Travel reaches 95%. Key components, including axles, engine, transfer case and gearbox, are produced directly at the company's facilities.

The updated version of the SUV was presented at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The external changes turned out to be the most noticeable - the car received a redesigned bumper, modern LED optics and a new radiator grille with improved aerodynamics.
Technical changes also affected the power plant - now the Niva Travel is equipped with a 1.8-liter naturally aspirated engine with a capacity of 90 hp.
