Lada Azimut, presented at the SPIEF in St. Petersburg on June 18, promises to become a prominent player in the compact crossover segment. The car is built on a modified Vesta platform, its length is 4416 mm, and the wheelbase is 2675 mm.
Special attention is paid to anti-corrosion protection: all key body elements, including the roof, are galvanized, which ensures resistance to mechanical damage, especially in the places where the roof rails are attached.
At the start of sales, Lada Azimut will receive 1.6 and 1.8 liter engines with a capacity of 120 and 132 hp, equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox or a CVT. In the future, the model will be supplemented with a 150 hp turbocharged engine with a classic automatic. However, the drive will remain only front-wheel drive, which may limit the car's audience, according to experts.
Mass production will begin in the first half of 2026.
