Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant (UAZ) has released the first batch of 10 pre-production UAZ Patriot SUVs with a new power plant - a six-speed manual gearbox and a 2.7-liter ZMZ Pro gasoline engine.
The same transmission is installed on Sollers ST6 pickups, but has different settings.
The "mules" were sent to a partner to adapt electronic systems, including active safety.
The second pre-production batch is being prepared for production for full-fledged testing, including in real conditions.
In early September, UAZ is completing the testing cycle of the upgraded 2.7-liter 150 hp ZMZ Pro gasoline engine. The main difference of the engine is an increased number of mounting points around the perimeter of the valve cover and in the gaps between the spark plug well holes to increase tightness.
