The German industrial giant, Bosch, a major supplier of auto parts, has announced upcoming personnel changes. The need to optimize costs will affect thousands of people working for the company in the supply of automotive components worldwide. The new realities spare no one, not even a company whose very name was associated with reliability.
One of the main reasons for this decision, which had been in the air since the spring of 2025, was the unprecedented pressure on the European market from China. The Chinese, who are extremely aggressively promoting their product, caught the Europeans, who were accustomed to leadership in the automotive market, off guard. Auto parts suppliers from China are more agile and flexible, and the government subsidies they receive at home make it extremely difficult to compete with them in the market.
Another reason is mass electrification. Bosch's prosperity was largely built on the production of complex and high-precision ICE components, in which they were undisputed leaders for many years. But electric vehicles, actively promoted by the European agenda, do not need them. Their engines are smaller, simpler and do not require serious maintenance, which further reduces the number of jobs.
