The new sixth-generation Subaru Forester will appear at Russian dealers in October this year. The car was officially presented in the fall of 2023.
Currently, dealers are selling fifth-generation cars. According to classifieds ads, prices for the crossover start at 5.3 million rubles. Subaru presented the sixth-generation Forester crossover in the fall of 2023; in Russia, it seems it will appear through parallel imports.
The car has completely changed its appearance and features a more horizontal hood in the style of the first generation model, as well as a lowered window line.
The car was built on the same platform, but it received a new body with an integrated frame. The welding method has also changed; now the side panels are attached to the floor separately, and then the remaining elements are added.
Under the hood is a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with 183 hp instead of the previous 185 hp, with increased torque from 239 to 241 N·m. The transmission is a Lineartronic chain variator.
