The Most Accident-Prone Cars in Russia in 2025 Have Been Revealed

Chinese Brands Also Included in the Anti-Rating

Experts from leading insurance companies have compiled an anti-rating of foreign cars that were most often involved in accidents on Russian roads in 2025. The average accident rate in the country decreased by 16% compared to last year.

Among the brands, Toyota (8%), Hyundai (6%), and Kia (5.6%) were most frequently involved in accidents. They are followed by Renault, Nissan, Volkswagen, Chevrolet, and Ford. Chinese brands Chery (2%), Haval (1.4%), and Geely (1%) were also included in the anti-rating.

The most dangerous drivers are considered to be men aged 40–49 years — they accounted for 26% of accidents, although drivers aged 35–44 years previously led. Women drivers were responsible for only 17% of accidents, and this figure continues to decrease.

Friday was the most accident-prone day — 17% of all cases, followed by Thursday (16%) and Monday (15%).
