The Chinese brand Chery has revealed official photos of the updated Tiggo 8 mid-size crossover, designed for family use. The model will receive a five-seater interior and increased dimensions compared to its predecessor. The premiere is scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year, which will allow the new product to replenish the lineup in the face of growing demand for spacious SUVs.
The Tiggo 8 family in the Chinese market has five versions: Tiggo 8 Plus, Tiggo 8L, Tiggo 8 Zhuoyue Edition, Tiggo 8 Pro 2025 and Tiggo 8 Plus CD-M. In August, 15,695 units were sold. For example, the Tiggo 8 Zhuoyue Edition is estimated at 109,900-119,900 yuan (US$15,400-16,800) and is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbodiesel with a capacity of 115 kW (154 hp) with a torque of 230 N·m.
The new Tiggo 8 will offer two front optics options: one with split headlights and an X-shaped grille, like the Tiggo 8 Plus, the other with a monolithic headlight and a rhomboid matrix. At the rear is a through light across the entire width, the Chery logo and a double exhaust. Dimensions: 4749×1880×1710 mm, wheelbase 2825 mm - 27 mm longer, 20 mm wider, but 35 mm lower than the current model, with a base extension of 115 mm. Engine specifications have not yet been announced, but an increase in power is expected.
