Sales of new Chinese cars in Russia exceeded 3 million units

Over 20 years, 3.13 million new Chinese cars have been sold in Russia. This was reported by Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency.

He specified that from 2006 to August 2025, almost 2.8 million passenger cars, about 30,000 light commercial vehicles, and about 300,000 trucks of Chinese brands were sold in the country.

It took the Chinese 17 years to sell the first million cars. The next two million were sold in three years. And this is without taking into account several Russian and one Belarusian brand, inside which the Chinese automotive industry is also "hiding".

At the same time, until 2006, sales of Chinese cars in Russia were minimal, the analyst concluded.
