The President of Avtotor Holding, Denis Pak, believes that the changes in the calculation mechanism for the recycling fee for passenger cars in the Russian Federation are aimed at the sustainable development of the automotive industry and its technological independence. He also pointed out that this initiative creates a balance between the interests of consumers and manufacturers.
For the mass segment, including cars with a capacity of up to 160 hp, the current coefficients are maintained, which guarantees the availability of cars for consumers.
The head of Avtotor noted that the introduction of the recycling fee is also aimed at supporting bona fide market participants who provide guarantees and long-term responsibility to consumers.
The updated mechanism creates conditions for investments in key technologies and components - engines, transmissions, control systems and other complex systems. It is these areas that determine the technological independence of the industry and allow planning long-term projects to deepen localization.
It should be reminded that Avtotor Holding produces cars of the brands Eonyx, BAIC, Jetour, SWM and other brands in Kaliningrad.
