Prices Announced for Cars Officially Allowed for Taxi Use Starting in 2026

Taxi companies will have to pay from 749 thousand to 17 million rubles per car

Starting in 2026, a law on taxi localization will come into effect in Russia, and now it has become known which cars will be officially allowed to operate in this segment. The latest list from the Ministry of Industry and Trade includes more than twenty models from six domestic brands — from budget Lada to premium Voyah. Prices for these cars, which meet the new requirements, currently range from 749 thousand to 17 million rubles.

The most affordable on the list are expectedly Lada models: depending on the configuration, their cost ranges from 749 thousand to 2.47 million rubles. UAZ will offer "Hunter" and "Patriot" SUVs for taxi companies at a price of 1.5 to 1.8 million rubles. "Moskvich" cars, which are also included in the list, are estimated significantly higher — from 1.7 to 4.1 million rubles, including the 2024 release versions.

The business class category includes the Sollers SP7 minivan, the assembly of which is fully localized in Tatarstan. Official prices have not yet been announced, but according to dealers, the retail price may start from 4.69 million rubles.

Electric and hybrid models of Russian Evolute cost from 2.5 to 5.3 million rubles without subsidies, and the most expensive cars on the list are Voyah hybrids, the price of which reaches 17 million rubles.
