AvtoVAZ has begun deliveries of the updated Lada Niva Legend, which received a side airbag and an improved ERA-GLONASS system unit with an automatic call to emergency services. In fact, these are the first copies of the model to return to the full level of safety that was lost after 2022.
Prices for the new versions have not yet been officially published, but according to "Auto News of the Day", they are already known from the internal price list. In the basic Classic configuration, the SUV will cost 1,077,000 rubles, the Luxe version - 1,162,000, Urban - 1,216,000, and the top Black will cost 1,235,000 rubles. Thus, the price increase ranged from 18 to 26 thousand rubles compared to cars without airbags and "fog lights".
At the same time, AvtoVAZ will leave the previous versions on sale - with manual activation of ERA-GLONASS and without side airbags. Their cost remains at the level of 1,059,000 to 1,209,000 rubles, depending on the version.
The return of the side airbag was an important step in restoring the equipment of the Niva. Recall that this option first appeared in 2020, but was excluded due to sanctions and interruptions in the supply of components. Now the airbag is again integrated into the side of the driver's seat, and later it is planned to move it to the steering wheel.
It is worth noting separately that Lada Niva Travel received similar updates earlier - since the end of 2024, it has already been equipped with two airbags and a new ERA-GLONASS, starting with the Comfort'24 version costing 1,443,000 rubles.
