The British publication WhatCar presented the results of a study on the reliability of cars, where it highlighted the ten most problematic models. The rating is based on feedback from owners in the UK and takes into account breakdowns during the first five years of operation. The leader of the anti-rating was the current generation Nissan Juke crossover with a reliability rating of only 55.2%. The main malfunctions concern the 12-volt battery, engine and brake system, which makes the model the leader in terms of frequency of visits to the service.
In second place is the latest generation Volkswagen Tiguan with a rating of 64.2%. Owners complain about failures in the infotainment system, brakes and electronics, which leads to significant repair costs. The top three is closed by the previous generation Kia Sportage with 72.9% reliability. Here, engine, gearbox and brake failures prevail, which is especially disappointing given the brand's reputation.
Next on the list are the Mazda CX-60, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Volvo S90, Audi Q7, Volkswagen ID.4, Hyundai Ioniq Electric and Renault Austral. These models suffer from a variety of defects, from electrical to suspension, reducing the overall rating of brands.
In addition, WhatCar noted problems with Toyota: the GR Supra sports coupe became the most unreliable in 20 years due to failures in the braking assistance system and belt tensioner. And the new Toyota bZ4X leads in complaints about the quality of the hub bolts, which calls into question the durability of the brand's electric vehicles.
