Over the past six months, AvtoVAZ has filed more than 50 lawsuits against former workers, demanding the return of relocation allowances and compensation for training. Most of the defendants are migrants, but local employees are also resigning.
Since the spring of 2023, the plant has been actively recruiting foreign workers. Upon hiring, they were promised a stable salary of 100 thousand rubles and a 5/2 schedule for eight hours.
According to former employees, in practice, shifts lasted 12 hours, and there were almost no days off. To receive the promised payments, they had to work on a 7/0 schedule. At the same time, many were assigned a 4th grade, but the actual duties often did not correspond to this level of qualification.
Each newcomer signed an obligation to work at the enterprise for at least a year. For this, they were paid relocation allowances from 12 to 30 thousand rubles, and housing and training were paid for. Those who quit ahead of schedule are now forced to return all the money.
Currently, the court has already satisfied 19 claims for a total amount of about 300 thousand rubles. Some workers, according to sources, did not formalize their resignation but simply left the plant.
