A rare scale model of the ZIL-115 limousine, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of state security agencies, has appeared for sale on one of the online platforms. The seller estimates it at one million rubles, which is more expensive than Lada Granta in the basic configuration.
He claims that this is an original Soviet specimen of 1:43 scale, released for the anniversary of the Cheka - KGB in 1987.
On the inside of the trunk lid there is an engraving "70 years of the Cheka - KGB", which indicates that the model is timed to the 70th anniversary of the All-Russian Extraordinary Commission, created in December 1917.
But there are doubts about the authenticity of the toy. Original versions of the ZIL-115 with an antenna were released in a limited edition in 1985-1986, they must have an individual number on the bottom of the body.
The presented specimen does not have such a number, which may indicate a later copy or replica.
