New "Moskvich M90" may be developed based on the Chinese MG RX9

The car will receive a 208 hp turbo engine

Certification of the new Moskvich M90 crossover has started in Russia. The car will be produced in cooperation with the Chinese concern SAIC. The model is based on the MG RX9 model, which is focused on export markets.

MG RX9 is a seven-seater crossover with a two-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 208 hp (350 Nm) and a 9-speed ZF "automatic". The drive can be either all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive. The length of the car is 4983 mm with a wheelbase of 2915 mm.

Inside the RX9 there is a single block of two 12.3-inch screens, the equipment list includes a set of active driver assistants, 12 speakers, a surround view system, an electric tailgate, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Previously, the Chinese JAC was a permanent project of the Moskvich automobile plant, and crossovers with indexes 3 and 8, as well as a liftback under number 6, were produced on the basis of its cars.
