Sales of winter car tires in Russia decreased in September by 12% compared to the same period last year. This was reported on October 15 by experts from the "YuKassa" and "Check Index" services.
Analysts attributed the decline in winter tire sales to dry and warm weather in early autumn in many regions of the country. The overall decline in the domestic car market also affected the decline in demand.
The average check for the purchase of winter tires for passenger cars increased by 5% over the year, to 8,170 rubles.
Over the same period, turnover in the accessories and auto parts segment increased by 6% compared to the same numbers in August, the average check increased by 5% (to 6,936 rubles), the number of payments remained unchanged.
The Ministry of Transport noted that changing car tires "from summer to winter" is worthwhile when the average daily air temperature reaches +5...+7 degrees.
