AvtoVAZ is actively preparing its first Lada Azimut crossover for production. According to AvtoPotok, the company has registered a whole series of new patents in the FIPS database related to external elements of the model. Among the published images are the bumper, the front door panel and the rear roof pillar trim.
Judging by the activity of the plant, the project is gradually moving from the development stage to the stage of preparation for mass production. The appearance of the finished Lada Azimut on the market is expected in 2026.
The crossover will receive upgraded 1.6 and 1.8 liter gasoline engines with a capacity of 120 and 132 hp, which will be combined with a six-speed "mechanics" or a variator manufactured by the Chinese company WLY. The declared ground clearance will be 208 mm.
The equipment will include a digital instrument panel, a multimedia system with a 10-inch display, fully LED optics, tire pressure monitoring, keyless entry and other modern functions.
