Great Wall Motor is preparing to launch the updated Tank 400 SUV — its pre-sales will start on October 21. Ahead of the launch, the company has published official photos and revealed the main characteristics of the model.
For the first time, the Tank 400 is presented in a new Dunhuang Purple hue. A lidar has appeared on the roof, side and rear cameras have been added, as well as the third-generation Coffee Pilot Ultra semi-autonomous driving system. It supports urban and highway autopilot functions — City NOA and Highway NOA.
The interior has been updated: the SUV received a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, a 16.2-inch multimedia system screen with Coffee OS 3.0, a new three-spoke steering wheel, and improved trim materials.
Tank 400 will be offered in two hybrid versions — Hi4-Z and Hi4-T. The first is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo engine, two electric motors, and a 59 kWh battery, which provides up to 200 km of range without gasoline. The second option uses a simplified system with one electric motor and a 37.1 kWh battery, allowing you to drive up to 105 km on electricity.
The average fuel consumption with a discharged battery is about 8.3–8.4 l/100 km.
