Six Months Later: What Has Changed in the Lada Niva Sport After the Start of Sales

After the start of sales of the Lada Niva Sport in April 2025, Lada Sport specialists carried out a series of improvements, eliminating the shortcomings identified by the first owners and auto experts. According to the company, the assembly of the sports version required a complete restructuring of part of the production processes - previously, the Niva was not produced on the Lada Sport assembly line.

One of the first improvements was the redesign of the rear suspension: the rods were replaced with new levers with a U-shaped reinforcement along the entire length, similar to racing designs. Later, the engineers made many minor changes - updated clamps, pipes, clips and other elements, which had a positive effect on the overall assembly culture.

Now the plant is working on improving noise and vibration isolation, as well as selecting optimal lubricants for cardan and intermediate shafts. The next stage of modernization is scheduled for 2026, when the basic Lada Niva itself will be updated - then the changes will affect the body, suspension and power structure of the car.
