AvtoVAZ has proposed supporting the export of cars from Russia through preferential lending to buyers abroad. This was announced by the head of the company, Maxim Sokolov, at a meeting of the State Council Commission of the Russian Federation.
According to him, the company is already working on the idea with colleagues from the Russian Export Center. Sokolov noted that many dealers in Russia often sell Chinese cars with a temporary preferential rate, which is subsidized by the car manufacturer, which is supported by the Chinese authorities.
For example, in Kazakhstan and Belarus, Sokolov recalled, there is a preferential rate of 4% for loans for cars produced in the country. At the same time, for loans for Russian-made cars in Belarus, the rate is 19%.
If we take a similar support measure for Lada buyers abroad, we will confidently exceed 20,000 cars or even more. We have such potential.
Sokolov added that it is necessary to discuss at the intergovernmental level the issue of reducing customs duties on the supply of cars from Russia.
