Our answer to Toyota: Lada became the most popular car for rental in Russia

Interest in premium cars is also growing, especially in BMW and Lexus

From May to September 2025, Lada became the most popular brand for car rentals in Russia. This is stated in a joint study by Avito Auto and Avito Travel.

The domestic brand accounted for 14.2% of tenants, which allowed it to bypass Hyundai (13.6%) and Kia (9.1%).

The top models also included Hyundai Solaris, Lada Granta, Kia Rio, Volkswagen Polo and Toyota Camry. Most of all, Russians rented sedans, SUVs and hatchbacks.

Interest in renting premium cars increased by 8.5% compared to last year. In the premium segment, the number of offers increased for BMW (+32.8%), Lexus (+25%) and Audi (+14.8%) brands.

BMW X5 (+37.6%), BMW 3 Series (+35.6%) and Mercedes-Benz C-Class (+27.6%) became especially popular.
