AvtoVAZ is considering launching up to seven assembly sites for Lada cars outside of Russia, but current economic conditions make the project unprofitable. This was stated by the company's president, Maxim Sokolov, at a meeting of the State Council Commission on "International Cooperation and Export."
As part of its export strategy, AvtoVAZ is ready today to launch up to seven assembly plants for Lada cars abroad: three in CIS countries, and two each in Africa and the Middle East.
He believes that in the absence of preferential lending and given the current key rate, the creation of transport industrial projects becomes economically impractical.
In 2024, Lada exports increased more than fourfold and exceeded 20,000 cars. By 2027, the company expects to reach a level of more than 30,000 cars per year.
