In 2026, the assembly of Avatr cars may begin in Russia. This was reported on October 28 by "Journal Auto.ru".
The Avatr brand is part of the Changan concern. Its cars, including Deepal hybrids, are planned to be put on the assembly line of the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad. Representatives of Changan Motors Rus declined to comment on this data.
Which Avatr models may be localized in Russia is still unknown. Currently, the brand's model range in Russia is represented by one Avatr 11 electric crossover, which will be joined this year by the Avatr 12 fastback.
Changan announced the launch of the Avatr luxury brand in Russia in November last year. The brand was created in partnership with the Chinese IT giant Huawei.
