New Toyota Corolla sedans continue to be sold in Russia, now imported through alternative channels from China and Japan. According to "Auto News of the Day", prices for this model start from 1.7 million rubles, making it cheaper than many Chinese competitors.
For comparison, the Geely Emgrand with an "automatic" transmission costs a minimum of 2.39 million rubles, and its Belarusian copy, the Belgee S50, starts from 2 million. At the same time, the Corolla remains one of the most reliable and popular models in the world.
The most affordable models are offered in Vladivostok: for 1.7 million rubles, you can order a version with a 1.2-liter turbo engine with 116 hp and a CVT. Right-hand drive cars are imported from Japan with a 1.5-liter engine (120 hp) and richer equipment, including climate control, a rear-view camera, and adaptive cruise control.
A hybrid Corolla HEV of Chinese assembly is also available at a price of 2.04 million rubles. Depending on the region, the cost of gasoline versions ranges from 1.7 to 2.9 million rubles.
