New Toyota RAV4 opens the era of smart and completely safe cars

Concept "Zero deaths, zero accidents"

Toyota has released an updated RAV4 (we told you how to choose the best version), which became the first model within the company's ambitious concept "Zero deaths, zero accidents." This crossover should become the starting point in creating smart cars that can maximize the exclusion of the human factor on the road.

The new RAV4 received support for 5G networks, an improved voice control system, the ability to update software "over the air" and the latest version of the Toyota Safety Sense complex. The chief engineer of the model, Yoshinori Futonogane, noted that Toyota's ultimate goal is to achieve absolute safety, reducing the likelihood of accidents and casualties to zero.

According to him, the current generation of RAV4 is only the beginning of a long journey: engineers analyze data from previous versions of TSS, improving recognition and response algorithms. The company is also betting on voice control to reduce distractions while driving. In the future, RAV4 will become the basis for the introduction of intelligent technologies — from advanced driver assistants to systems that can independently analyze traffic situations.
