Mercedes-Benz in Russia sharply increased: sales grew by almost half

The recycling fee is driving demand for luxury cars

As the increase in the recycling fee approaches, Russian buyers are actively choosing premium models. According to the head of Avtostat, Sergei Tselikov, 1,258 new Mercedes-Benz cars were registered in the country in October. This is 45% more than a year ago, and 41% higher than the September result.

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV became the leader in demand - it sold 223 units. Next in popularity were GLS (199 cars), GLC (185), GLE (145) and E-Class (124 units). In total, from January to October, 6,825 new Mercedes-Benz cars were purchased, which is 18% higher than the figures for the same period last year.

All deliveries of the premium brand to the Russian Federation continue to be carried out through alternative import schemes. At the same time, the company is stimulating demand in other markets: it was previously announced a large wave of discounts on Mercedes-Benz electric vehicles in the USA - up to 50 thousand dollars for the Maybach EQS 680.
