Toyota Raize Crossover Sold in Russia Cheaper Than Lada

Compact Japanese SUV Available from 1.85 Million Rubles

New compact Toyota Raize crossovers have appeared on the Russian market, which, thanks to parallel imports, can be bought even cheaper than some Lada models. The minimum price for Raize starts from 1,850,000 rubles - this is the price for a car that is delivered to order from the UAE with a delivery time of about 5–6 weeks.

The basic version is equipped with a 1.0-liter turbocharged engine with 98 hp and a D-CVT variator developed by Daihatsu. Standard equipment includes 17-inch alloy wheels, LED optics, a rear-view camera with parking sensors, a leather multi-steering wheel, air conditioning, a multimedia system with a touch screen, a light sensor and a full set of basic safety systems.

For comparison, the Lada Vesta in the Techno configuration costs 1.96 million rubles, and the SW Cross cross-universal costs up to 2.2 million. Even the most affordable “two-pedal” Chery Tiggo 4 and Tiggo 4 Pro will cost more than 2.1 million. At the same time, the Toyota Raize, depending on the region and configuration, is estimated from 1.85 to 2.5 million rubles, which makes it one of the most affordable new crossovers of foreign origin in Russia.
