The average weighted cost of a new passenger car in Russia exceeded 3.4 million rubles for the first time, reaching 3.43 million at the end of October. This is a record figure for the entire observation period.
Since September 2025, prices have increased by another 2.2%, and in annual terms - by 8%. Thus, for 15 consecutive months, the average weighted price of a new car has remained above 3 million rubles.
According to the results of 10 months of the year, the figure amounted to 3.23 million rubles, which is 3.5% higher than for the same period last year. Over the past five years, the cost of new passenger cars has doubled, and compared to 2021 the growth exceeded 60%.
A record was also recorded in the used car market. In October, the average weighted price reached 1.23 million rubles - 2.5% more than a month earlier. In five years, used cars have doubled in price, and in 2025 they exceeded the mark of 1.2 million rubles for the first time.
Analysts explain the growth by the combined influence of structural market shifts - an increase in the share of Chinese brands, a reduction in the number of budget models, and inflation in production costs.
