Europeans Still Holding On: Named the Most Affordable 2025 Models in Russia

Parallel Imports Maintain Choice for Buyers, Despite the Departure of European Brands from Russia

After the departure of European car manufacturers from the Russian market, the only way to purchase new Volkswagen, Renault, and Skoda models remains parallel imports. Experts have compiled a list of the most affordable "Europeans" that can realistically be bought in 2025 without overpaying.

The most budget-friendly car remains the Jetta VA3 sedan, costing from 1.8 million rubles — this is a simplified version of the Polo with a 1.5 engine and a classic automatic transmission. Slightly higher in price is the Volkswagen Bora, available from 2.3 million rubles and equipped with LED optics and climate control.

Renault Taliant, the Turkish successor to Logan, sells for 1.7–1.9 million rubles and remains one of the most affordable options. In the larger segment, buyers are offered the Volkswagen Lavida from 2.2 million rubles — a spacious sedan with a 1.5 naturally aspirated engine.

Skoda Slavia is priced at 1.9–2.1 million rubles and stands out with its modern interior and TSI engines. In the regions, prices are usually 150–300 thousand lower than in Moscow, but the overall price level of European models is maintained in the range of 1.8–2 million rubles.
