The second generation Kia Telluride, a completely redesigned three-row crossover for the 2027 model year, was unveiled in Los Angeles. The flagship received a new design, a redesigned interior, and a modern hybrid powertrain with a range of up to 960 km. Externally, the Telluride now looks even more massive: emphasized angular lines, a large radiator grille, hidden door handles, and dark pillars in the X-Line and X-Pro versions, visually creating the effect of a floating roof. The body length has increased to 5060 mm, and the wheelbase to 2969 mm, making the interior noticeably more spacious.
Inside, the model fully corresponds to its status: a combined unit of two 12.3-inch displays, support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, improved trim materials, and enlarged seating areas. The emphasis is on silence, comfort, and a premium feel for second and third-row passengers.
The 2027 Telluride will be available in two versions. The base version features a turbocharged 2.5-liter engine with 274 hp and 422 Nm, working with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The main novelty is a 329 hp hybrid, which includes a 2.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, a pair of electric motors, and a 1.65 kWh battery. The hybrid version is equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission and provides a significantly greater range, which puts the Telluride among the most long-range crossovers in its class.
