The cost of Lada cars will change again, the manufacturer is preparing to adjust prices due to the increase in real cost. This was announced by the head of AvtoVAZ, Maxim Sokolov.
He recalled that the last price indexation took place almost a year ago - in January 2025. Then the adjustment affected Lada Granta and Niva Legend, and the average growth was 1.8%, which was significantly lower than the inflation rate.
It is impossible to restrain growth for so long - imports have grown, aggressive dumping from Chinese stocks has put pressure on the market. Prices should catch up with the real cost.
Sokolov emphasized that the adjustment would be a necessary measure to maintain stable production.
AvtoVAZ plans to sell 370 thousand Lada cars in 2025, including exports, of which about 350 thousand will be in the domestic market, Sokolov noted. Thus, the projected decrease in sales in 2025 will be about 23%.
