Former Volkswagen plant reaches maximum capacity

The plant in Russia is once again producing 500 cars per day

The Russian plant, formerly owned by Volkswagen and now producing cars under the Tenet brand (rebranded Chery models), has restored its previous production volumes. According to "Russian Automobile", the company has returned to the same indicators that the German division demonstrated during its peak load period.

Currently, the plant operates in two shifts and produces 250–260 cars per shift, which amounts to about 500 cars per day. This corresponds to the full load of the production line and virtually replicates Volkswagen's performance before leaving the Russian market. At the moment, there are three models on the assembly line — the T4, T7, and T9 crossovers, but the lineup is expected to expand in the near future.

According to the publication, the fourth model will be the large Tiggo 9, although they prefer not to talk about it publicly yet. Full-cycle production has not yet been restored: stamping is supplied from China, but the welding and painting shops have already returned to normal operation.
