Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant (UAZ) has begun equipping its vehicles with devices with the function of calling emergency services (UVEOS) manufactured by FSUE "NAMI" with extended functionality. A batch of 20 thousand such cars was put on the assembly line.
The modules are manufactured using components of domestic production. The software was developed by Russian specialists.
The UVEOS manufactured by FSUE "NAMI" includes functions of telematics services that allow, if necessary, to see the car on the map, as well as, for example, to remotely start the engine.
Technical Director of UAZ LLC Mikhail Guryanov added that the use of Russian integrated engineering solutions in the architecture of models is a priority for UAZ.
