Sales of the updated Volkswagen Tayron L 2026 model year have officially started in China. Prices remained almost at the level of last year's car: from 208,900 to 260,900 yuan (2.27-2.84 million rubles). The appearance, interior and engines have not changed, but the list of equipment has become noticeably more generous.
Now even the base version has a 40-watt wireless charging, and the Elite and higher trim levels have smart IQ.Light matrix headlights and an enlarged central screen. Top versions are still equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo engine with 220 hp, a 7-speed DSG with a wet clutch and an optional 4Motion all-wheel drive. There are also more affordable options with 160 and 186 hp engines.
While Tayron L is only sold in China, it is this model that will replace the outgoing Teramont in Russia in the near future. So it's worth taking a closer look now: for 2.3-2.8 million rubles, they offer a large, powerful and well-packaged crossover from a European brand.
